October 23, 2008, we hosted the "Kick Out the Jams Library Tour" featuring nationally and internationally acclaimed creative artists of music and the spoken word: John Sinclair, M.L. Liebler, Jef Reynolds and R.J. Spangler. John Sinclair at the BMPL

Mrs. Dickey brings the library's Pioneer Living Exhibit to the Batesville Apple Festival.

Hundreds of Apple Fest attendees, young and old, learn about life in the pioneer days through stories and "hands-on" displays.

The library hosted the exhibit: Images of Native Americans: The Wanamaker Collection at Indiana University (9/6/07 - 10/4/07)
First wall of portraits
The exhibit included 30 photos of Native American portraits, scenes of daily life, and historic images.  Mathers Museum at the IU Bloomington campus is home to the entire collection of over 8,000 photographs taken in the early 20th century.

These traditional dresses were added to the library's exhibit.

A number of collectors contributed items which were displayed to enhance the Wanamaker Collection exhibit.

Michael Piper, INCOLSA Executive Director, addressed the Southeast Region Fall Forum at the library, Oct. 3, 2007.

The library and The Bookshelf co-hosted a "Breakfast with Stephanie Plum" at the Library Annex to celebrate Janet Evanovich's new novel, Fearless Fourteen, June 17, 2008.
