Re: Patron Status and Reserves

When checking your status or placing a reserve on an item, you will be asked to Please enter the following data for authentication purposes:

The barcode number on your BMPL borrower's card is a 14-digit number. However, when entering your number for authentication, use only the five-digit number as represented by the
underlined, bold Xs in this example:
2 4 7 0 6 0 0 0 X X X X X X.

You must spell your First and Last Names exactly as they appear on your application card at the library (or on your printed checkout receipt). If you are unable to access your status record, contact the library during open hours at 934-4706.
Do not place a reserve on an item that is currently in the library and available for circulation. Library staff will not pull items from the shelves that have been reserved via the Internet. If an item is listed as currently in the library, you must come into the library to check it out.
If an item is currently checked out of the library and
you reserve it via the Internet, your name will be placed on the Reserve List
for that item. When that item becomes available, library staff will notify
you, and you will have two days to come into the library to check out that item.

Re: Electronic Books (eBooks) at the BMPL
The
Batesville Memorial Public Library has made it possible for you
to access a wide range of research, reference and reading materials online.
The eBooks in this collection were purchased to meet the needs of our users.
In addition, when you search the collection, you'll note an option for
publicly accessible eBooks — classic works of literature and history.
Do not place a reserve on eBooks.
The BMPL's eBook collection is circulated via your computer and is not checked
out through the regular library system. Checked out eBooks will not
appear on your circulation record or circulation printout from the library.

eBook title is actually available for you to check out.
Instructions for enabling cookies
To enable cookies using
Microsoft Internet Explorer:
1. Choose Internet
Options from the View menu.
2. Click the Advanced
tab.
3. Locate the Cookies
option in the Security section by using the scroll bar on the right
side of the window.
4. Select Always
accept cookies and click OK.

Netscape Navigator:
1. Choose Preferences
from the Edit menu.
2. Click the Advanced
option on the left.
3. In the Cookies
